Good Morning!!  It’s been a while since I took a moment from baking and chatted with everyone.  I hope you guys are all having a great weekend.

I don’t know about anyone else, but it’s been a crazy, tiring, hot, and humid week on this end, and I’ve been busy, working, baking, and picking blackberries.  I really had to talk myself into going out in the heat yesterday to pick blackberries but they all seem to be getting ripe at the same time.  I’m so glad it’s Sunday!  I love Sunday mornings because I can get up early and have some time to myself.  I can also fix whatever breakfast comfort food I’m in the mood for and try to de-stress for a few minutes while watching my favorite cooking shows.  Then it’s back to reality….what chore to do first.  Well, that doesn’t really matter I guess, because I usually start several and run back and forth between them.  There really should be more than 24 hours in a day.

This morning I wanted some hot coffee and some of my Sour Cream Buttermilk Pancakes. Time to sit on the couch, pig out on a big stack of pancakes, and relax.  At this moment I feel like Templeton the rat from Charlotte’s web.  Glad I took my cholesterol medicine.

Although I love to bake and play in the kitchen, I have LOTS to learn when it comes to food photography, so I’ve been taking endless pictures when I make a recipe, trying to improve my photography skills.  It’s one thing to be able to make a recipe that tastes great, but if you can’t show how great it is in a picture, you can’t expect anyone to believe that it tastes great, especially when they aren’t there to taste it.

I truly hope that you guys will be brutally honest with me about my recipes and pictures.  It means so much to me.  I promise that I will only post recipes that I have tested, created, and totally approve of.  If you ever have a question on a recipe, please reach out to me, and if you ever make one of my recipes, please let me know how it turned out and if you truly liked it.

I hope you have a great Sunday, and I’ll chat again down the road.  Meantime, I’m going to be busy working, baking, taking food pictures, editing food pictures, typing, and posting recipes, and oh yes…EATING!

xoxo
